Please check back in January 2020 for information regarding The Summit Center's 2020 Autism Walk.

About the Walk:

The Summit Center Autism Walk is a community-wide effort to raise funds in support of Summit’s programs and services in Western New York.  The Summit Center services children, young adults, and families affected by autism.  You are invited to enjoy a four-mile or half-mile family-friendly walk with festivities and fun.  It enables  people like you to be a part of something truly life- changing for families affected by autism in your community.

The Summit Center Autism Walk promotes autism awareness and acceptance in the Western New York community.  Register your whole family to walk in honor of your child, student, neighbor, or friend.

Since the Walk began, the event has positively impacted so many families that are affected by autism. With your support, we can continue to raise crucial funds to benefit critical programs and services.

Who We Are:

For more than 40 years, The Summit Center has given hope to Western New York families affected by autism and developmental, social, and behavioral challenges. Summit is considered a Center of Excellence, serving 2,300 children and young adults through Early Intervention & Education, Behavioral Health, Community & Family Support, and Adult programs and services.

How the Funds Are Used:

Over the past twenty years, the prevalence of autism has continued to increase. As the need for our services continues to grow, so do we. Your continued support directly benefits the individuals we serve.

Proceeds from our annual Walk are used to cover the gaps in reimbursement rates for our programs and services.  There is no out-of-pocket cost to families for the majority of our programs and services.  Our mission is to maximize success for the individuals we serve.  Without these fundraising dollars many of our programs and services could not operate.
